On this episode of MandoAdventures I will be traveling northern New Mexico enjoying the beautiful fall colors
Traveling up the Rio Grande from Española to Embudo you can see the cottonwood trees in bright yellows
Followed by taking a trip up Highway 84 following the Chama River up to Carson National Forest and the surrounding areas of Abiquiu New Mexico

There is nothing more American than our love for our trees. We plant them from the ground up. We care for them as individuals, just like we do our own children. And when they are old and worn out, we take them to a wood pile and we burn them, just like we would with our family heirlooms.

There is just something incredibly pleasing about looking at a photo of fall foliage. Especially when you can see the trees and the river or stream where the leaves have fallen to the ground. Maybe it’s the contrast between the bright, bold colors of the trees and the more subdued hues of the dried up leaves. Whatever it is, this photo combination seems to have a magical effect on people. In fact, nothing warms the heart and soul more than a beautiful photo of something nature related.

I love autumn. The colors, the crispness in the air, and the changing of the leaves on the trees. But there is one thing I don’t like about autumn, and that is, it is almost the end of the tourist season. By the time the leaves are changing, the tourists have mostly gone home, and many of the locals are too busy preparing for winter to bother with nature’s splendor.
